What does it feel like to be conducted through a hallowed spot in a 150-year-old palace usually out-of-bounds to outsiders? What does it feel like to see the exquisite Eyo festival from the eyes of the players themselves, or even get a behind-the-scenes briefing from some of the tradition's custodians?

What does it feel like to be on the ground at the bi-centenary of the Sokoto Caliphate and follow in the footsteps of the legendary Uthman dan Fodio? What does it feel like to be encircled by a thousand and one masquerades at the annual Abuja Carnival? Or witness the charm of the trendsetting Calabar carnival?

And just what does it feel like to crisscross the vast and inspiring expanse that is Nigeria in pursuit of unforgettable travel experiences? If feels great, to say the least. And that is what one experiences as a traveller in Nigeria. At Journeys we are interested in exploring for discovery; and after discovering, sharing our finds.

At the back of our minds on every trip will be the desire to revisit familiar attractions and discover what is new and exciting about the domestic travel landscape. So we will set out to far-flung destinations around Nigeria sufficiently to inspire Nigerians and visitors alike to travel as we do.

We certainly have the push and the people to achieve this. We will, of course, be tapping into a vast network of intrepid writers and photographers, who themselves regularly traverse the country as a matter of course. Together, we'll set out into local destinations and bring to you the allure of the “heart of Africa”. All you have to do is simple: Follow our lead.
